What a real course costs.
Say a course of 40 students runs one 20-minute voice session per student each week, across a 12-week term.

That is a term of weekly one-to-one tutoring for the whole cohort, at $60 per student. The same course on the video engine comes to $5,760, or $144 per student. A session that runs 20 minutes and 30 seconds bills as 21 minutes.

The details, plainly.
Who pays?
The workspace. Whoever opens it, a lecturer, a course coordinator, a department, puts a card on file, and every course in that workspace bills to it. Students never pay and never see a price.
How does activation work?
A card on file is activation. There is no free trial and no upfront charge: the moment a valid card is saved, the workspace is active and sessions can run. Your first invoice arrives after your first month of usage.
What exactly is a billable minute?
Session time on either engine, from the moment a student connects to the moment the session ends. Each session is rounded up to the next whole minute; a 12-minute-40-second voice session bills as 13 minutes.
Can we cap what a course can spend?
Yes. Workspaces can set a monthly spend cap, and courses can allocate minutes per student, so an enthusiastic cohort runs into a friendly ceiling instead of a surprising invoice.
Where does our data live?
You choose at workspace creation: Sydney or the European Union. Course content, rosters, transcripts and summaries are stored and processed in that region.
Can we leave?
Anytime. There is no contract term and no cancellation fee. Stop running sessions and the billing stops with them; your final invoice covers the minutes already used.
